Zen and The Art of Incentive Maintenance

IESP | Wednesday, July 13 | 9:45 - 10:45 AM

This session will use the philosophies and points made in the book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance as the canvas to conduct interactive and usable outputs shared with attendees. We'll discuss the things that keep us from designing the best incentive programs. The session will explore:

  • What do we need to learn now
  • The unlearning we should do to create better programs
  • Discuss “gumption” traps, things that get in the way of good design and how to deal with them (i.e. customer timelines)
  • Design quality and its impact
