BOSTON – July 18, 2023 – The Incentive Marketing Association (IMA) awarded
Blackhawk Network (BHN) as the Inspirational Place to Work in 2022 during the 2023 IMA Summit Awards program earlier this week at The Westin Copley Place, Boston, Massachusetts.
The Inspirational Place to Work Award is meant to spotlight organizations that put people first, offer an engaging and inspiring place to work, value the role of employees, and embrace an open and inclusive culture supported by a future-thinking leadership team. Efforts related to corporate responsibility, sustainability, and the impact their businesses have on the environment are also considered.
With a global workforce spread across geographies and time zones, helping employees stay connected with each other is vital for BHN. Quarterly anonymous surveys and Town Hall meetings, and annual virtual strategy roadshows, help BHN monitor employee engagement and allow employees to interact with managers and company leaders. Employee recognition and awards programs play an important role in the organization’s culture. BHN also prioritizes diversity and inclusion by supporting women-focused industry organizations and promoting women into leadership and executive positions. Employee Resource Groups provide support for women, black employees, Hispanic/Latino employees, Asian employees, neurodiverse employees, LGBTQIA+ and veterans. Employees also find increased accessibility via hybrid and remote work options.
BHN supports employees in giving back to the community by offering 16 hours a year of paid time for charitable work in their communities. Through its Giving Good™ Cards program BHN offers a special line of gift cards with three percent of the load value donated to one of a handful of charitable partners with $2.5 million in funds raised so far.
