Principles of Results-Based Incentive Program Design

Individuals may earn an IP designation successfully passing the IMA's "Principles of Results-Based Incentive Program Design" examination. The exam consists of 98 multiple-choice and essay questions. You must also take this exam before completing your CPIM designation.

The IMA offers curriculum which includes a downloadable Principles of Result-Based Incentive Program Design Source Book, a web page of 30+ resource documents, and a video file of an instructor teaching an in-person course offering. A classroom style instruction + exam  is also available to purchase yearly at the Summit.

How to Purchase Curriculum (for Non-Members)

Non-Members may purchase the complete Principles Curriculum for a one-time fee of $75 by contacting Emily Johnson at the IMA Office. 

The curriculum can also be purchased while registering for the Principles of Results Based Incentive Program exam. The exam is $150 for IMA members and $300 for non-members. The exam is available online year round or in person at the Summit. To register, complete the Incentive Professional (IP) Exam Registration Form.
