Incentive Gift Card Council is Now Incentive Gift Card Coalition

New logo and new name better reflect collaborative, inclusive nature of IGCC for members and the industry.

MINNEAPOLIS – August 17, 2022 – The Incentive Gift Card Council, a strategic industry group within the Incentive Marketing Association (IMA), announced it is now the Incentive Gift Card Coalition (IGCC). The new logo and name were unveiled to IGCC members at the IMA Summit last month followed by this week’s public announcement.

“We’ve been a ‘council’ for over 20 years, and the word felt too far removed from the collaborative environment we all experience,” Benita Johnson, CPIM, Home Chef, IGCC immediate past president, said. “Our networking is outstanding. It’s more than sharing expertise and best practices. It’s about comradery and compassion. We know we are all in this together,” Johnson added.

Hollis Thornton, CPIM, Blackhawk Network, and current IGCC president, who was also involved in the redesign work, took over the board leadership position as the new name and logo were being announced. “I am excited about this new name and look. Our new logo conveys forward momentum and the individual shapes working together to form the logo emphasize the support and connection we all have with IGCC,” Thornton said.

“There’s a lot going on in the industry and with IGCC, we want to clearly convey that energy and connection to our members and to the industry,” Thornton added.
