IMA Summit Keynote Speakers to Provide Latest Trends, Strategies for Growing Your Business

MINNEAPOLIS – May 10, 2016 – The Incentive Marketing Association’s 2016 Executive Summit, “Stronger Together” is going to be the place for education and networking with reward and recognition professionals from across the incentive industry. Set for July 18-20, at the Hyatt Regency, Houston, Texas, the Summit offers dynamic educational programming and enhanced networking opportunities.  

“The incentive industry is changing rapidly and we all need to understand what’s happening across the industry to continue to grow our businesses,” said Sean Roark, CPIM, IMA executive vice president and 2016 Summit chair. “We’ve designed the educational programming to provide tips on how to take advantage of trends, communicate the value of incentives and top name brands, digital marketing strategies, better understanding the buyer’s journey and more,” Roark said.

Opening keynote speaker Ron Baron will energize attendees with his focus on growing your business, loving life and having fun. Baron emphasizes learning to redefine success. He offers specific quick and easy ways to start taking advantage of hidden opportunities and begin breaking away from day-to-day drudgery to get more profitable business with less work. Baron is a highly acclaimed and dynamic speaker and consultant. He is a successful entrepreneur and business leader with more than 30 years of senior-level national corporate experience in marketing, sales and operations.

Along with keynote presentations the conference program includes breakout sessions, roundtable discussions and private hospitality spaces companies can purchase if they want a quiet environment for hosting business meetings and entertaining clients.

Closing keynote speaker Melissa VanDyke, president of the Incentive Research Foundation (IRF) will share emerging insights from the IRF’s latest research. Van Dyke’s presentation provides observations from the findings and helpful takeaways to incorporate into business strategies. Van Dyke has proudly helped triple IRF’s research and education footprint. Before coming to the IRF she held management and consulting positions at Maritz and Ernst & Young LLP. Van Dyke was named one of the "Top 25 Women in the Meetings Industry" by Meetings and Conventions magazine, selected as Incentive magazine’s “Rising Star in the Incentive Industry” and authored the chapter on “Using Non Monetary Awards to Support Business Behaviors that Drive Results” in the sixth edition of the Compensation Handbook.

“Along with the robust educational content, we’ve retooled the program to provide more unique networking opportunities,” Roark explained.

Heather Abbott, director of partnership marketing, Powerhouse Brands Consulting, says one of the biggest values of attending the Summit is the networking and relationship building. “Leads gathered at the conference pay off throughout the year,” she explained.
